In the Netherlands I studied Nanobiology at TU Delft and at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I enjoyed my studies a lot because this program combined biology, physics, and mathematics. It is really cool to see how these fields are connected and how you can use physics and mathematics to understand biological processes. I am excited to be part of an interdisciplinary group and to work with people from different backgrounds. My PhD project focusses on the coordination of cilia beating in the unicellular organism Paramecium. I like to spend my free time outside. Now that I am living in Switzerland, I love to explore the mountains, either by hiking or snowboarding.
