Peer-to-peer Trust Management (2001 – 2010)
In this project we explore methods for establishing and maintaining trust relationships without relying on central, trusted authorities. We have studied this problem in particular in the context of peer-to-peer systems, but also for other settings, such at web service provisioning, electronic commerce and social networks. The research has been supported by EPFL (2001 – 2002), the SNF (2004 – 2006), the EU framework program with the DIP project (2004 – 2006) and by Docomo Eurolabs (2006 – 2010). We collaborated in this project with the Institute of Research Management at University of Lausanne and the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at EPFL.
