Microwaves and Antennas Group (MAG) offers three types of projects for students of Electrical Engineering at EPFL:
• Bachelor Semester Project – 8 credits
• Master Semester Project – 10 credits
• Master Thesis Project – 30 credits
Proposed student projects for the academic year 2024/2025 are listed below and all interested students are welcome to contact the person in charge for more information. The project type (semester, thesis) can often be adjusted depending on the topic. Other Master Thesis projects beyond the listed may be possible if your interests align with the research performed in the laboratory. In that case, contact Prof. Anja Skrivervik and discuss the possibility to conduct a Master Thesis project beyond the listed ones.
Kindly send an email to [email protected] if there are any questions about this webpage. More detailed information regarding the student project can be found in the School of Engineering website.
Semester projects
Students must contact the Professor in charge of the laboratory and get approval before registering for the given project on ISA.
Bachelor Semester Project – 8 credits
- Designing two RF oscillators
- Impedance measurements of differential antennas for in-body environments
- Power distribution network design for mm-Wave 5G array
- Rectifier simulation for mm-Wave application
- Broadband tailor-made tissue phantoms for biomedical applications
- Identical Reference Horn Antenna Design in mm-Wave Regime
- Dual-Band Circularly Polarized Antenna for mm-Wave Applicaitons
Master Semester Project – 10 credits
- Broadband tailor-made tissue phantoms for biomedical applications
- Design of an implantable Huygens source antenna
Master thesis projects
Master Projects are started once the complete master program is finished and all the credits have been obtained. Students must have the approval of an EPFL professor or MER as supervisor before registering for the given project on ISA.
