Mark Widmaier finished his master’s in electrical engineering at the University of Stuttgart in 2019. Since beginning of 2020 he is involved in in the PhD program of the electrical engineering doctoral school at EPFL and recently defended his thesis. The main focus of his work lies on accelerating 31P-MRSI in the human brain and especially the quantification of the creatine kinase rate. To do so he is exploding state of the art methods for sequence design as magnet resonance fingerprinting, spiral readout, ultra short TE/TR. The translation to 3D and functional creatine kinase activity mapping are his newest work.
