Eleni Kroupi was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, on April 29, 1985. She received her Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece, in July 2010. From February 2009 until July 2009 she studied at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, as an Erasmus student. From November 2009 until June 2010 she performed her Diploma thesis on the Analysis of the Stride Time Series using Fractal Dimension Techniques, at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. Since September 2010 she is doctoral assistant in Professor Ebrahimi’s MultiMedia Signal Processing group at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. Her research topic is on Multimodal emotion detection using content and physiological signal analysis.
Her research interests include Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, Brain Computer Interfacing, Affective Brain Computer Interfacing, Fractal Analysis and Complexity in Time Series.
