Lin Yuan was born in Xincai, Henan, China, in June 1989. He received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in June 2011. From September 2011, Lin started his Master study in Electrical Engineering at EPFL. Between July 2012 to August 2013, he was with Technicolor (Hannover R&I, Germany), working as research intern on audio watermarking. He completed his Master thesis at Technicolor and received this Master degree in October 2013. Since March 2014, Lin worked as PhD student and Doctoral Assistant in the Multimedia Signal Processing Group (MMSPG) of EPFL, supervised by Prof. Touradj Ebrahimi. His PhD study was focused on multimedia security and privacy protection. Lin received his PhD degree in July 2017. Currently, Lin is working as Software Engineer at Irdeto BV in the Netherlands.
