Brayan Alves obtained his Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Basic Sciences in Physics at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2019 and his Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering in a joined program with the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETHZ) in 2021. His Master project was completed at the Institut de Radiophysique – Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (IRA-CHUV) in the Groupe d’Imagerie Médicale.
He enrolled as an EPFL Physics PhD student in the CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging in 2021 under the supervision of Dr. Cristina Cudalbu and Prof. Dimitri Van de Ville. He is currently working on enhancing and developing acquisition sequences, reconstruction and processing tools for preclinical fast Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Imaging MRSI at ultra-high field (14.1T) in the context of studying chronic hepatic encephalopathy.
