General description of opportunities to work with the MSIC Lab
-
Example projects from MSIC Lab
-
Your actual project will need to be highly adjusted to your background. The availability of a project could highly fluctuate for the same reason.
-
Please do not hesitate to contact Prof. Choo (kyojin.choo at epfl.ch) to discuss your possibility 🙂

Semester: Flicker noise measurement of amplifiers
Main duties and responsibilities include :Measure the flicker noise behavior within an already taped-out ICDesign/implement PCB for testingConfigure/automate an optimal test setup for the flicker noiseReport findings as publication-worthy figures and tablesYour profile:Strong desire to learn about analog designDedicate >2 full working days per week on Neuchâtel campus(travel cost covered by the MSIC lab)Excellent knowledge (…)
Master: Gain calibration for ciDAC-based ADC
Your mission:MSIC Lab is heavily investigating a compact and energy-efficient ADC architecture called ciDAC-based ADCs. This ADC architecture is relatively new and unexplored. And, one of the key challenges is the need for calibration methods to adjust the ciDAC gain auto-magically. We will mainly explore a hybrid ADC architecture using a capacitor-array-based DAC and the (…)
Semester: 17 bit ADC testing
Main duties and responsibilities include :Operate the testing infrastructure to measure the performance of a custom ADC IC and report the measurement result Design/implement PCB for testingConfigure/automate an optimal test setup for the ADCReport findings as publication-worthy figures and tablesYour profile:Strong desire to learn about ADC designDedicate >2 full working days per week on Neuchâtel campus (…)

- Internship project :
- International students : Please check out the EPFL E3 program – deadline early December every year
- EPFL students : We can offer you an internship opportunity during the summer break. (During the semester, please apply for a semester project. That way you can also get ECTS)
