Standard Candles and Distances
Unraveling the physics of stars and the cosmos using pulsations
We seek to measure the current expansion of the Universe with maximum accuracy using pulsating stars and other stellar standard candles. We also use pulsating stars as tools for understanding the physics of stars and the structure of nearby galaxies.
