D’izi Fruits
The purpose of our project is to create a giant fruit press that will be driven by the mechanical force produced by a pedal carousel. Young and old will be able to participate, the goal is to pedal to get a fresh fruit juice!
The feeder shelf
On campus, we have an aquaponic greenhouse (belonging to the student association Légumes Perchés). Aquaponics is a type of soil-less culture that combines hydroponics and aquaculture techniques simultaneously
CHEAP – Catalog of Handmade Elements Assembled From Pallets
EPAL transport pallets, all identical, represent a reusable, inexpensive and accessible quantity of wood. The project aims to create furniture from recycled pallets.
Take Away Roller (TAR)
Being lovers of soft mobility (rollerblades, skateboarding, scooters, etc. ) we often find ourselves with bulky objects to carry. We therefore embarked on a project to create a rollerblade-like device that is portable, lightweight and adaptable to all types of shoes.
Autonomous photovoltaic parasol
EPFL’s infrastructure includes outdoor facilities ideal for student gatherings during the day, but due to the lack of lighting in the squares, these places are less frequented in the evening. The photovoltaic parasol that we propose will make it possible to use these spaces at nightfall thanks to a lighting system obtained by integrated photovoltaic panels, as well as to protect from the vagaries of the Swiss weather, while being independent in terms of electrical energy.
Flying balloon for avalanche research
Proposal for a new avalanche detection system using a balloon flying over the missing person. The objective is to considerably reduce the search area and thus save time.
Vélo-Ciné-Raptor
As part of the SKIL teaching unit, we have chosen to produce a bicycle-cinema that can show films and which would be powered by electrical energy produced by pedalling.
