Autonomous photovoltaic parasol

- The project
- EPFL’s infrastructure includes outdoor facilities (Garden Farmer at the SG/Art Lab/Esplanade) ideal for student gatherings during the day, but due to the lack of lighting in the squares, these places are less frequented in the evening. The photovoltaic parasol that we propose will make it possible to use these spaces at nightfall thanks to a lighting system obtained by integrated photovoltaic panels, as well as to protect from the vagaries of the Swiss weather, while being independent in terms of electrical energy.
