MSE-470: Seminar series on advances in materials (2 credits)
In this course, a series of seminars is presented by internal and external experts on important topics in Materials Science Research. Co-taught in 2023 with Prof. Anirudh Natarajan and in 2024 with Prof. Gregor Jotzu.
MSE-493: Engineered Living Materials (3 credits)
Students are introduced to the fascinating potential of this emerging field where materials are imbued with the characteristics of life, such as growth, adaptation, responsiveness, and sensing. This course combines lectures, journal club-style presentations of recent literature, and practical laboratory activities.
