The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory

The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO) is a network of telescopes aimed at observations of astronomical sources operating high-energy particle accelerators and colliders and producing gamma-rays in the energy range between 10 Giga-electronvolts and 100 Tera-electronvolts (higher than the energy attainable at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN). CTAO is in construction now on two sites: Northern site at La Palma Canary island and Southern site on Paranal site in Chile.
