Tristan Carel is a Software Research Engineer within the High-Performance Computing team in the Computing Division.
He researches and develops an open-source HPC solution for simulations at the subcellular level.
Tristan holds a Masters in Computer Science from the EPITA: Ecole pour l’Informatique et les Techniques Avancées, and has over 12 years’ experience in both research and industry in a wide array of fields ranging from astroparticle physics and medical imaging, to search-engine technologies and finance computing.
In his spare time, Tristan likes to practice several musical instruments; he is also a kayak instructor and engages in most outdoor sports from alpinism to speleology, by way of climbing and canyoning.
