Four academic chairs were co-funded for five years by CCMX, together with EPFL and ETH Zurich respectively, in areas of materials science that industry has identified as critically important. Beyond 2016, these professors will continue to be fully supported by their home institutions. These professors focus on areas of key importance to industry that are not yet covered by existing laboratories.
