Eligibility & Criteria

The ELLIS Summer School on ML & AI for Health welcomes PhD students, Postdocs & other professionals who possess a background in machine learning and seek to expand their expertise in healthcare applications. To ensure the sessions are productive and interactive, participants should have solid hands-on experience with ML tools.

These fees cover attendance, lunches, coffee breaks, and social activities included in the program. Please note that travel, dinner, accommodation, and other personal expenses are not included. 

*If your application was submitted within the relevant timeframe, you will remain eligible for the Early-Bird registration fee regardless of when you receive a response.

Application 

To apply, please complete the online application form below. Applicants are required to upload their CV and a research statement. PhD students must also upload their school ID. Before applying, please note the following:

  • Your application will be reviewed by the scientific committee, with reviews conducted on a rolling basis.

  • If approved, you will receive a confirmation email along with a payment link. Your registration is considered final only after the fee has been paid in full.

  • PhD applicants from Low and Middle-income countries (LMIC) can apply for a scholarship. PhD applicants from LMICs who wish to apply for a scholarship must include an additional cover letter. Please note that only a few scholarships will be granted, and the selection process will be highly competitive.

  • Please note that seats are limited; therefore, only fully completed applications will be considered.
