The Lausanne Centre for Ultrafast Science (LACUS) brings together the EPFL teams working in Ultrafast Science and Technology. LACUS offers user access to advanced ultrafast laser, X-ray and electron technologies and spectroscopy methods developed at EPFL. We aim at enabling EPFL and external researcher to build new experiments and technologies, using state-of-the-art femtosecond light and electron sources maintained by our team. Our light and electron sources complement and strengthen existing Swiss scientific infrastructures, e.g. the Swiss Light Source and the SwissFEL.
