Every 3 hours, the Thetis autonomous profiler scans the physical, chemical and optical water properties over the top 50 m of Lake Geneva near the platform LéXPLORE. It sends automatically the data to our servers as soon as it reaches the lake surface. Its operation is unique in inland fresh water.
Part of the data is being summarized every Friday into “Thetis Letters”, providing a weekly overview of the physical and biogeochemical processes at play in the lake.
