The European Commission has published the Horizon Europe 2023-2024 Work Programmes.
The Work Programmes (WPs) contain the funding opportunities in Horizon Europe (HE) for the next two years. They cover all major domains in HE – health, culture, society, digital technologies, industry, space, climate, energy, mobility, food and agriculture – as well as all types of grants – mono-beneficiary, collaborative, and doctoral and postdoctoral training – and include opportunities for companies.
Hundreds of topics are available for a total budget of €13.5 billion in 2023. The WPs show a clear consolidation of the main areas for action, so-called “Destinations”, from the first two years of HE. Topics build on previous calls, and in some cases, are moving towards testing and implementation. The final goal remains clear – a green and digital transformation of Europe.
Direct funding for the Horizon Europe calls for Swiss-based entities is secured by SERI (State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation) as part of the transitional measures. The Financial Guarantee 2023 is now available.
