The QSE Center will carry out experimental research with high potential for technological innovation. The focus will be on integrated, hybrid and scalable systems, leveraging the advanced nano-nanofabrication facilities present on campus. This research aims at exploring new physical implementations of quantum hardware, beyond the well-established quantum platforms that are currently developed by industries.
Building on the existing research strength in physics, material science, and electrical engineering, in the fields of quantum materials, quantum optomechanics, quantum photonics, computing and control hardware for quantum science, the primary goal of the Center is to address problems that are technologically relevant and can rapidly lead to technology transfer.
