Orbitrap Fusion Lumos Tribrid Mass Spectrometer

(coupled to Ultimate 3000 RSLC nano)- (Thermo Fisher Scientific, San Jose, CA)

The Orbitrap Fusion Lumos mass spectrometer is one of the first Tribrid instruments enabling parallel and highly coordinated operation of three different mass analyzers in one integrated device (quadrupole, ion trap and orbitrap).

It offers:

  • Fast and sensitive proteome characterization
  • Accurate quantitation using isobaric tagging due to Synchronous Precursor Selection for MS and MSn experiments
  • Increased experimental flexibility in PTM research thanks to multiple fragmentation techniques: CID, HCD, ETD and EThcD
Orbitrap Ascend Tribrid Mass Spectrometer

(coupled to Vanquish Neo UHPLC System)- (Thermo Fisher Scientific, San Jose, CA)

The Orbitrap Ascend is the fourth generation of Tribrid instruments and similarly to Fusion Lumos it combines quadrupole, ion trap, and Orbitrap mass analyzers into a single mass spectrometer. Due to changes in the instrument architecture, hardware and software Orbitrap Ascend enables significantly faster and more sensitive analysis.

It offers:

  • Fast and sensitive proteome characterization of low input materials (few cells)
  • Built-in intelligent-driven data acquisition methods for accurate and sensitive quantitation
  • Improved hardware components resulting in improved fragmentation thus identification of PTMs

Orbitrap Exploris 480 Mass Spectrometer

(coupled to Ultimate 3000 RSLC nano)- (Thermo Fisher Scientific, San Jose, CA)

The Orbitrap Exploris 480 is a next-generation quadrupole-Orbitrap instrument.

It offers:

  • Robust performance and operation leading to increased sample throughput
  • Fast and sensitive proteome characterization
  • Broader range of experiments with multiple scan modes (DDA, DIA, BoxCar)
Q Exactive Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer

(coupled to Ultimate 3000 RSLC nano)- (Thermo Fisher Scientific, San Jose, CA)

The Q Exactive hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometer  combines high-performance quadrupole precursor selection with high-resolution accurate-mass (HR/AM) Orbitrap analyzer
