File Transfer Service

The File Transfer Service (FTS) is based on a commercial product (VShell Enterprise Server) using standard security algorithms. The access is available with two kind of protocols:
  • Hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS)
  • SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP)

Advantages of the service:

  • Transfer data securely with partners outside the EPFL
  • SFTP protocol supports resuming of file transfers
