This project aims at developping an active noise control solution fully transparent to fluids flows, in view of silencing ventilation systems. The Plasmacoustic metamalayer leveraging a layer of ionized air to interact with sound fields, is the only candidate whereas conventional (opaque) loudspeakers represent an obstacle to fluid flows. This innovation should be a game changer in the control of low frequency flow duct noise control applications.
