The College of Humanities (CDH) encourages joint research and educational programs that combine the human and social sciences with engineering, life sciences, natural sciences and the other technical fields taught at EPFL. We work through a variety of teaching, research and public outreach programs as described below.

"Immunios – A card game to learn immunology"

Published:08.05.25 — The Master's program in Digital Humanities (DH) offers its students the opportunity to do research during their studies through semester projects or master's projects. During her semester project, DH student Cindy Tang developed an educational game on the immune system to help high-school students learn the subject in a fun way.

Art exhibition explores our interactions with objects and machines

Published:06.05.25 — Geneva-based artist Luc Mattenberger creates work focused on brain function, machine learning, and the wellness industry. For CDH’s Les Culturelles, he will exhibit a series of sculptures and create a performance piece.

EPFL premieres Public Portal to Anticipation at Expo 2025 Osaka

Published:02.05.25 — The Geneva Public Portal to Anticipation, created by the EPFL Laboratory for Experimental Museology in collaboration with the Geneva Science Diplomacy Anticipator, is an interactive installation that offers visitors a way to explore and co-create speculative futures based on anticipated scientific breakthroughs.
