Environmental Sciences and Engineering Section
Our planet faces multiple challenges to the environment, some of the major ones being – climate change, depletion of resources such as drinking water, increasing pollution, human population growth and the loss of biodiversity. The problems related to the environment are not only varied, but are also becoming increasingly complex. While the solutions to these problems involve human, economic and social dimensions, they cannot be resolved without reference to the latest technological and scientific progress.
The studies have the following bases:
- advanced scientific and theoretical knowledge: the guarantee of broad, timeless knowledge necessary for interdisciplinary and innovative approaches.
- highly practical content: numerous projects in laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, enabling the development of practical know-how.
- direct and continuous contact with the world of research, ensuring optimal transfer of the most up-to-date knowledge and techniques.
- flexible courses, with emphasis given to a wide choice of multidisciplinary minor subjects.
In addition, lectures in Human and Social Science (SHS) allow students to step back and develop a critical view on social, ethical and environmental implications.
