We know that flexibility is key to success. The GIS is therefore equipped with its own machining center run by a team of qualified technicians.
Depending on the needs, the GIS will also collaborate with other EPFL manufacturing platforms.

Manufacturing
We are equipped for all kinds of materials such as wood, metal, composite materials, etc.
Workshops includes : conventional tour and milling machines, 3-axis milling machines, 5-axis wood machine, waterjet cutting machine, large format FFF 3D printer, welding machine, digital fabrication (multi tool ABB 6400 Robot) and more.
Assembling
Assembling capabilities are provided by an ABB industrial robot equipped with a multi-axis force sensor, a wood panel gripper, a 3D FARO scanner, and more.
