Education

We offer a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science and one in Communications Systems. Additionally, we offer three Master’s programs: Cyber Security, Computer Science, and Data Science.

We have 54 faculty members, including 6 who are jointly affiliated with other EPFL schools. Our vibrant academic community includes over 295 PhD students and approximately 2300 undergraduate and master’s students. The Bachelor’s programs in Computer Science and Communication Systems share a common core of required courses. Beyond this core, 25% of the courses provide a programming orientation for Computer Science and a mathematical orientation for Communication Systems.

To prepare our students for the professional world, we provide an attractive internship program with opportunities at numerous companies and universities worldwide. This hands-on experience ensures our students are well-equipped to secure competitive positions upon graduation. Top companies such as Facebook, Google, and Microsoft frequently recruit directly from our campus.

Our research in Computer Science and Communication Sciences spans a wide range of areas. This diversity is reflected in our funding sources, which include public and private entities such as the Swiss Confederation, the European Union, private foundations, and industrial partners.
