Our platform, was featured in “Dimensions,” a magazine that showcases cutting-edge research at EPFL, through a funny comic strip. This portrayal highlights the advancements and research happening at our facility.

Our platform was present at the 2023 Open Day, welcoming visitors to explore our crystal growth technologies and research. Visitors enjoyed guided tours, demonstrations, and discussions with our team.

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Joel Kuennen, author of Spheroids, as part of the Artist-in-Residence project in the College of Humanities. Spheroids interrogates exoplanet geologies and ecologies, to question our burgeoning interplanetary imaginary and its relationship to how we interact with the Earth. The objects will be spheroidal; biological textures and biofilms will be added to create a relationship that straddles the known and unknown, the familiar and the spectacular, the inanimate and the animate.

On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, EPFL welcomed all curious and passionate science enthusiasts for an open house day. Visitors were able to explore the behind-the-scenes of EPFL and admire its crystals. Members of the Crystal Growth Facility amazed the visitors by showcasing numerous crystals and presenting their growth techniques.

We had the opportunity to contribute to the book Regards sur l’EPFL, with our crystals in the photos for the science section taken by Catherine Leutenegger. The photographs were exhibited at the Pavilions.
