The VPSI provides a centralized backup service for individual workstations. It allows to automatically and periodically backup selected data on a collaborator’s workstation. A backup agent needs to be installed, which sends encrypted data to on-site servers. It’s available on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems.
Activation
To activate your inSync account, you can send a request to [email protected], you’ll then get an email with the instructions.
Installation
1) Click on the link provided in the e-mail to download the software and install it.
2) Choose the language
3) Accept the license and leave the default path
4) Then enter the requested information:
● Server address: cbmaster.epfl.ch
● Your e-mail address
● Your GASPAR password
You’ll be able to select the folders to backup and set your options in the agent interface. The quota is set to 500GB per user.
