Encryption for laptop

This service is primarily intended for users of the School of Engineering (STI) who store sensitive data on their laptops.

Before using this service, verify that your laptop has an active automatic backup.

1. Setup an automatic backup for your sensitive data:
   The process is described here.
   You must verify that your data is actually saved.
2. Encryption of the laptop and automatic backup of the encryption key:
   • Mac, computer registration and hard drive encryption.
   • Windows PC: computer registration and hard disk encryption.
