The doctoral program in Biotechnology and Bioengineering (EDBB) provides doctoral students with the education necessary to be leaders in the fast-growing industrial and academic biotechnology and bioengineering sectors. Students gain a depth of knowledge and competence in their specific research area as well as a breadth of knowledge in biology, bioengineering and biotechnology.

EDBB program

The doctoral program in Molecular Life Sciences (EDMS) trains doctoral students to become leaders in biological research. The basis of this education is laboratory-based research and access to state of art technological platforms, combined with coursework, in-house seminars, national and international conferences.

EDMS program

The doctoral program in Neuroscience has been heralded as one of the last biological frontiers… And we agree! Here, at the doctoral program of Neuroscience at EPFL, we push this frontier to discover the underlying principles of how one of the most fascinating organs of our body, the central nervous system, functions.

EDNE program

The doctoral program in Computational and Quantitative Biology offers students a multidisciplinary education at the intersection of biology with quantitative sciences and computation to become the future generation of quantitative life scientists.
